The first edition will take place in Naples on 24 September 2026, at Palazzo Reale, with a preview event on 23 September.

In particular, the programme on 24 September 2026 will focus on an analysis of the cultural industry between the Mediterranean and Europe, exploring trends and synergies across cinema, audiovisual media and publishing.

The programme is structured around six discussion sessions addressing some of the key themes currently transforming the content industry: from emerging storytelling and market trends to artificial intelligence, from the international circulation of content to European co-productions, as well as new transmedia models and the relationship between publishing and audiovisual media. Representatives of institutions and leading figures from the Italian and international cultural industries will take part in the discussions.

As part of KYMA’s focus on the Mediterranean, particular attention will be dedicated to Turkey, KYMA 2026 Guest Country.

The Turkish production model, which has become a major international success and export phenomenon in the audiovisual industry, will be examined to explore its narrative and industrial dynamics within the broader context of cultural exchange between the Mediterranean and Europe.

The programme will conclude with a preview screening of “Una finestra vistalago”, directed by Marco Pontecorvo and based on the novel of the same name by Andrea Vitali.

On the afternoon of 23 September, the preview programme will feature an event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Un posto al sole, exploring the economic, sociological and production impact of the renowned soap opera in Campania and across Italy. It is the longest-running soap opera entirely produced and made in Italy for television, having surpassed 7,000 episodes. Set entirely in Naples, the series still features several long-standing cast members who have appeared since its first season. Members of the cast will also attend the event. Exclusive video content revealing behind-the-scenes insights and secrets from the set will also be screened.

The full programme will be available online soon.
